Etymology of the placename Idlewild

The oldest mentions I could find are a park in Pennsylvania, which started as a picnic grounds in 1878 and eventually became an amusement park; and Idlewild Golf Course, where JFK International Airport in Queens was built and took its earlier name.

[/nq] Is is not more likely to be derivation of or origin of as its etymology is its meaning which is obvious. There is also a book named it. Its probably just a conjoined word like shady pines or sleepyhollow and so on.
