ethicðics

hello guys,

I've already searched some of the explanations about the difference between "ethic" and "ethics".

I know that "ethics" is the common use and "ethic" is used probably most in the term "work ethic".

I've read that when using be-Verb "ethics is..." and "ethics are..." are both acceptable.

According to "ethic" and "ethics" are almost the same.
Is it acceptable to use "ethic are..."?

For example,
Work ethic are important.

Thank you.
