...ETC (what can i substitute? if it is not allowed in an essay?

If i cannot use ETC in an essay, what words will substitute in this sentence?

For example, if you eat a certain sweet, it will make thick smoke and perfume, makes one sing well and another makes fire, etc. It is so fantastic! I want to buy those fancy sweets!

Instead of ellipses(...), what will i substitute? is it a comma instead?

I remove the ellipses and put a comma after and leave the ETC. or i remove ETC as well. Help please.. they say no one should use ETC in an essay. ?

There was a boy named Billy who wanted to have a shop that will use grubber.

He had thought of a building which he wanted to use but it was sold.

One day, while he was crossing the building, something strange happened.

The furniture of the building was thrown outside.

So he stopped and wanted to look further but it became dark so he went home.

And when he got back to the building, he met a giraffe, Pelly and a monkey.

They're the window cleaners.

They became partners and went to the Duke's house.

The Duke was pointing out some fruit to teach the location to the gardener.

After they watched it, they picked up the fruit which he wanted.

First, the Duke thought they were thieves but he understood later that they were window cleaners.

At that time, a real thief stole the jewels, and the thief shot the gun but Pelly ate the bullets and it saved them.

The thief had been stressed by the police.

The Duke wanted to work with them regarding good food.

Also, the building was given to Billy by the animals and it became a grubber.

The grubber has very special sweets.

For example, if you eat a certain sweets, it will make thick smoke and perfume, makes one sing well and another makes fire... etc.
It is so fantastic! I want to buy those fancy sweets!
