Essentially speaking VS strictly speaking

Hi

Would you say that essentially speaking and strictly speaking carry the same meaning?

A- You'd met him only twice before your  marriage?
B- Yes -- and very briefly.
A- So you married a stranger?
B- Strictly speaking, yes/Essentially speaking, yes.

Thanks,

Tom

OK -- I get it. Thanks, CJ.

So, strictly speaking is correct in that usage?

And what about, technically speaking?

A -- So, you married a stranger?
B --Technically speaking, yes/Strictly speaking, yes.
