Essay(part 1)

Why are we even surprised that Jeremy “could’ve been overlooked” because of the color of his skin? How long have you been living in the US? Read up on what the blacks had to overcome to get to where they are today. We’re a nation of multiple cultures, so it should be understandable that there are differences, but the silver lining is that it’s also helped us grow and become a stronger more unified nation. Where else would you be able to find a Black Commander in Chief leading a cabinet of white, yellow, brown politicians? That is what makes us great! Only the best and willful come out on top in the US and I’m not talking about Wall Street or Hollywood. I’m digging down deep within our society and you’ll notice, of course first and foremost, our President Barack Obama, through hard work and an endless pursue of self betterment he attained acceptance to Harvard, probably the most prestige school in our nation. His kindness can’t be forgotten either, because of how selfless he is as a human being, he took time to help out his community and listened to what the people had to say and made sure that they were heard through him.
