I would be so thankful if you could give me some advice on my task below.
It is a natural process for animal species to become extinct (e.g. Dinosaurs, dodos …) There is no reason why people should try to prevent this from happening.
Do you agree or disagree?
Many species have undergone the drastic elimination of nature such as dinosaurs, dodos, woolly mammoths and the lít go on. Hence, it is assumed that extinction is just a natural and unavoidable process, which means there is no need for humans to curb or avert the process. From my perspective, I only subscribe to the notion to some extent.
First of all, I completely agree with the premise that it is understandable for a species to be wiped out naturally. Nature plays the main role in maintaining our planets’ balance. resulting in the wellbeing of all plants and animals so many species does not have the ability to adapt to the fast-paced changes of the world, extinction is definitely and preventable. All the humans’ endeavours to save those species are just like a drop in the ocean. Therefore, humans had better not hinder the natural elimination from occurring.
However, the idea that people should not protect endangered animals from dying out raises doubts. This is due to the fact that nowadays, animals extinction are no longer a natural procedure. There are definitely man-made factors that speed up the process. All the things that governments and animal protection organizations do are to hamper illegal hunting, which causes a sudden drop in the population of certain species. In other words, the government do not hinder any natural processes from taking place, but instead, discouraging those inquisitive and ill-educated poachers from intervening the nature taking its course.
In conclusion, Undoubtedly, many of our current environmental problems are due to the elimination or decline of wildlife and the destruction of their natural habitats. Man, as a part of nature, his destiny is inextricably linked with the fate of the lives of other living beings and the environment around him.
