The bar chart compares the percentage of 6 types of transport that travelers used in Shanghai in 1996 and the prediction in 2030. Generally, it is forecasted that car and bus will increase while others will decrease in 2030.
While the bus usage in 1996 reaches a high peak of 39%, only 22% will be used in 2030. The proportion of walking and scooter in 1996 was 7% and 12%, in turn. And it is predicted that the figure will slightly decrease to 3% and 7% respectively. Three times as many bicycles were used in 1996 as it will be used in 2030.
By contrast, there is no data for trains in 1996 but this figure will experience an upward trend to 13%. The percentage of car is predicted to reach its higher point in 2030, at 52%.
