Essay Thesis

Hi, can anyone give me some suggestions on this thesis? Is it effective enough or is there anything that i should change?

Thesis: Imprisoning offenders is a irrelevant form of punishment that is expensive and violates human rights.

Hi, It's hard to comment on your thesis unless you tell us the topic or title of your essay. eg If the topic is 'Shakespeare's use of comedy in Romeo and Juliet , then your thesis is a poor one. eg If the title is 'Compare and contrast the methods of punishment currently used in the USA and China', then again your thesis is not great.

My topic is about the ineffectiveness of prisons. Will it be better if i write it this way?

Imprisoning offenders is irrelevant to society as form of punishment because it is ineffective, expensive and violates human rights.
