The table provides the data about average distances in mile travelled of English to different transportations in 1985 and 2000.
According to the collected information giving in the table, using car of people in travel was at the highest rate compared to the orthers, 3199 miles in year 1985 and 4806 miles in year 2000. Conversely, travels by bicycle, taxi per capita these years were lowest, in which with 51 miles of bicycle (1985) was higher than 13 miles of taxi (1985) and the data was relatively same for both of them in 2000.
It was obvious to see that the local bus use decreased about 1/3 from 429 miles to 274 miles, respectively in 1985 and 2000; however, long distance bus usage increased nearly three times in these 2 years.
It was not clear about “Other” meaning what kind of transportation was listed in this table, although the means of ‘Other” around 450 miles in 1985 and 585 miles in 2000 was only lower than car using per person per year. Generally, total average travel distances by 1985 and 2000 in England were 4740 miles and 6475 miles accordingly
