I am trying to write my essay but the question seems far to easy to reply to. I would like to know what others think about it. If the text is needed to fully understand what I am asking please let me know.
Thanks,
John Updike, 'Dear Alexandros' (1959)
‘Dear Alexandros’ (1959) consists of a letter from a poor Greek boy to his affluent American ‘charity parent,’ and the American man’s reply. What do we come to know of Alexandros and Kenneth Bentley respectively from the letter each one writes, and the way he writes? What do you think Updike is trying to suggest by this brief exchange?

It seems like a typical literary question. Are you sure it is as simple as you think? Really, we can only try to help if you first write a draft.
