In this day and age, smartphones are a popular device for everyone, especially younger people. Actually, some children spend hours on a daily basis on their smartphones. From my point of view, this action has a lot of reasons and has both an impact on the development of children.

It’s obvious that based-on the internet and modern technology, smartphones become crucial things for some children. So there are a range of things on smartphones including entertainment and education that attract youth.

On the one hand, smartphones have a positive impact on children’s development. The sources of education from smartphones are various that they can study English math more easily than ever. The smartphones provide a bunch of vivid images, voice to help children be able to remember things such as vocabulary, some animals or songs. Moreover, smartphones are also a sources of entertainment for youth to relax and recharge their batteries , helping them connect to distant relatives who they have never had the chance to meet.

On the other hand, smartphones also have a potential impact that can affect badly to children. Children spending too many hours on their smartphones is the reason cause to some health problems such as eyes problems, cancer or memory deterioration. Not only that, some children are addicted to smartphones and don’t want to do another things or study. That causes the lack of concentration on learning and badly academic performance. Moreover, smartphones also creates some issues with the development in characteristics or communication for children. The ability of communication can be limited by the isolation from the society when they spent too much time on smartphones, as well as the characteristics can be imitated from some harmful sources from the internet.

In conclusion, smartphones not only give children a lot of benefits but also have a detrimental impact on them. Therefore, I think parents should care more about youth to prevent some bad situations and help them develop better.
