Essay Question

I feel like am reading to much into this question but I do not want to miss anything. I would like to know what others think about the question.

John Updike, 'Dear Alexandros' (1959)

‘Dear Alexandros’ (1959) consists of a letter from a poor Greek boy to his affluent American ‘charity parent,’ and the American man’s reply. What do we come to know of Alexandros and Kenneth Bentley respectively from the letter each one writes, and the way he writes it? What do you think Updike is trying to suggest by this brief exchange?

I haven't read this work. But if you write the essay, I'd be happy to comment on its structure and use of language. Clive

I think it is a fine question. It makes me wonder what the answer is.
