essay needs correction...

This essay is full of mistakes I want an expert to help me corret it, thanks in advance Emotion: smile

Canada is one of the most multicultural countries in world, and that's what I like the most about it. When I was in high school, my school used to hold an event every single year and call it “the international bazaar". The idea of the international bazaar is to have a "free" day, no classes, no homework, nothing. During that day, about 70 tables are set up in the cafeteria to represent different countries that different students originally belong to. Each table contains the major cultural food this country serves, and also it contains variety of souvenirs that represent the country. A wide range of different cultures I got to know through this event, from the western American and Canadian culture, to the African and European countries, and of course the Asian cultures. Every year I join the Middle Eastern booth where we have to serve Arabic food and bring some stuff from our houses that represent this region of the world. Each of my friends where from different part of the world, one was from Pakistan, Izabella was from Poland, Theresa from Philippine, Clair from France and Jenny form Japan. The one thing they hated the most about me is that I was very picky on what I should eat during this day especially that most of the food is home made and there is no labels I can read or anything. I didn’t really care because if there is a doubt that one thing is not Halal there is no way I would eat it. Well, for most of the food this was the case but there was one thing fascinated me the most and I wished I could eat it, looking at the huge line ups of people in front of it. This food was Sushi, which I didn’t know what it is other than it looks very neat and that it’s got ham which means no way I can try it. My friend Jenny tried to convince me a lot, her point was just a small bite will not get me out of religion! But of course I didn’t taste it.
Last year it was the last International bazaar I ever attend as it was my last year in high school. Jenny made a special surprise to me and served “Halal” Sushi at the Japanese booth, she told me “This time you have to taste it”. I was excited finally I got to taste this rolled thing, she said she made me a special sushi instead of ham she had used fish. So I took one roll and looked at it, I saw all sort of veggies along with some rice and a small piece of fish. She told me that I should eat the roll with one bite, as their culture request them to do, so I listened to what she had ordered me and I eat the whole thing with one bite. I can’t remember what happened at the time because I think I was unconscious after I have tasted this crazy food! To make it more clear, the fish was raw, the veggies were soaked on Soya sauce, the rice was vinegared so badly, and the one thing I couldn't imagine is the leaf it's wrapped by, is an under the sea leaf. Worst of all, she was standing in front of me waiting to hear my compliments on her country’s special food. I did my best to swallow this sushi and then I said: “thanks. It’s so...great!” Right after I said that she was one of the happiest Japanese of my school, and I became the sickest one as I spent the rest of this event in the washroom vomiting and remembering the famous saying,” careful what you wish for”.

I will offer some corrections for you. (I think, you should leave out the first sentence, which makes the reader think the essay is going to be about Canada.)
