Essay: need help with clarity and grammar

Any suggestions on what I can edit or add, this is my introduction and it is about female and male differences according to theorists and poets?
Is is clear and does it have a strong thesis?? Grammar?

Numerous paramount theorists such as Sigmund Freud and Simon Beauvoir were writing influential gender theories. Freud heavily focused on the male sexuality and behavior more than women sexuality and behavior. Freud had a patriarchal perspective on women sexuality and behavior and simply dismissed women as only being passive objects of desire for the aggressive, dominant men. On the other hand, Beauvoir argued that women were not passive objects but aggressive, active human beings. Furthermore, T.S. Eliot and Edna St. Vincent Millay challenged the negative stereotypes that were being made by major theorists such as Freud and conservative Americans about women and males by conveying through their poems female and male figures that embody both feminine and masculine characteristics and traits.

Hi, This does not seem to have a single, strong statement of what your thesis is. Instead. it just seems to be individual statements about individual people.

Hi,

State the overall topic. Then narrow it down to the aspect you will be focusing on. Then state your thesis about this..
A thesis is just a strong opinion or assertion about the topic that is as interesting and as original as you can make it.
