TOPIC: Students today can easily access information online, so libraries are no longer necessary. Do you agree or disagree?
Over the past few years, we have seen a considerable rise in the number of students accessing the internet. While some people argue that the Internet can be replaced by libraries, I agree that the libraries are still important today.
On the one hand, many people around the globe still believe that students have various benefits from the libraries in different ways. The first reason is that school’s libraries have succeeded in providing pupils with access to information, promoting self-education and enhancing interests in art and literature. Another significant reason is many modern libraries provide other services such as free WIFI to access online, some stories for children strengthen their literary activity and help them to enhance their reading habit. While their primary function remains offering books that can be borrowed for free, libraries have become more popular in many nations.
On the other hand, there are many people who argue that libraries should be replaced by the internet because the internet can be an alternative way to access information. Students can easily secure information online from their computer or mobile phone. Furthermore, the large number of books are normally available in the websites like GOOGLE.COM. Therefore, it is clear that the internet is becoming one of the most critical channels for students to acquire information. All in all, numerous citizens prefer to read e-books because not only is it convenient, but it also saves time than the libraries.
In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, I believe that e-books, having increasingly popularity, can never replace paper books in libraries.
