[ESSAY] It is true that ...

It is true that whilst many people use their public parks, this space could be used for other purposes, such as building houses for young people or developing a business area to create jobs. Explain to what extent you agree or disagree with this statement.

Although public parks are widely used by many people, they are believed to be better being utilized for different purposes such as houses for the young or business places for employment. In my opinion, I completely disagree with this view for some reasons.

To start with, I believe that public places such as theme parks are an important part of people's lives for they bring much joy. First, it is undeniable that parks help people to relax after long working hours. Many students, as well as employees, consider parks as idea destinations to unwind with various exciting activities such as watching films, playing outdoors, and games. In other words, the parks offer visitors chances to participate in a wide range of enhancing activities in order to entertain. Second, parks are social places where people can meet up and have fun. As a matter of fact, these places are chosen as a meeting spot where friends, colleagues, or families can gather. For instance, siblings can sit together in a peaceful and fresh atmosphere of the parks to talk with each other or take part in outdoor activities so that they can tighten their bonds.

In addition to joy, people can also receive education when going to the parks. Today many schools make going to the park a compulsory part of their curriculum to provide children with knowledge of the environment. For example, Biology classes involve students' going to those areas, which creates an opportunity for students to get closer to nature, thus enhancing their knowledge of the environment. As a result, children would be likely to learn about nature and know about the wildlife. However, not only do the children can gain benefit from going to the parks, but adults are also able to improve their knowledge. As there are several workshops there where professors or environmentalists make a speech to raise people's awareness of different problems such as environment, animals, and plants, adults can stay informed when visiting the parks.

To conclude, due to those advantages public parks bring above, I do not think that a number of parks should be replaced for other purposes.
