Essay for scholarship

One of my works at the bank is to evaluate the collateral asset together with the customer management division in order to make it as a base for a loan. Once, I evaluate the customer’s asset in Ha Noi, the customer looks in a hurry, always urges the bank to arrange the loan and make disbursement rapidly. After gathering a lot of information from Internet, real estate trading floor, the friends from other banks, even the inhabitants residing next to the asset, I recognize that the value of asset in the market is lower than the value of asset that the customer asks for evaluating. Besides that, the customer is holding due loan at other bank and needs a big sum of money for final settlement. Possibly that, the customer raises the value of collateral asset to be able to borrow more money and use it to pay for debt to other bank but not use according to the purpose stated with the bank. With the information gathered as above, I have protected my opinion before the Evaluation Council in order to decide the value of asset upon the market price and re-consider the lending for such customer.
I assume that this is not only a significant achievement during my period working at the bank, but also a significant lesson in my life – a lesson on how to look for any way to get best results, at the same time, protect political view and achievements. For many people in my country, personal achievement is to hold a high position in work or earning a lot of money; however, particularly to me, my personal achievement is to complete my work well. I think that when I doing my assigned duties well, my efforts and achievements will be recognized.
