There is equal number of people who advocate capital punishment and who are sure that we can't judge who should die and who should stay alive. But this theme actually concerns only the people who are waiting for their execution and all their relatives while others aren't touched by it really. The proponents of death penalty are sure that death is worse than being at prison whole life. But in reality many prisoners die because of bad conditions in gaols without any death sentence. Some people claim death penalty as racist one but actually there are more sexism in it because women are executed very seldom. As for the deterrent effect of it we can't actually know if it works or people are afraid of not only death penalty but imprisonment as well. Besides, we should remember that any judiciary system can't be absolutely perfect. Death penalty has its proponents and opponents, who can transform anything into the proves of their points of view, while they should just take a chill pill and make a collective decision.
