Essay advice needed. Thank you in advance!!!

We are currently living in technological revolution era. World leading companies compete among each other on developing new gadgets for consumer to amuse oneself: 3D television, Wii and iPod are great examples of such products. Entertainment became the biggest consumer of our time. People tend to be drawn to new and exciting technologies. In my opinion, such favoritism also applies to heroes of all times.

Heroes relevant to technological progress might have a better chance to leave their mark on the society of current time, but no good deed should been done under condition of perpetual recognition.

Word Hero in Oxford dictionary means "a person who is idolized for courage or noble qualities", that being said, we can admire one for extraordinary abilities today, but we cannot guarantee to remember one forever.

I'd prefer to say it this way - As stated in the Oxford Dictionary, the word "hero" literally means "....."

I was trying to relate technology to remembrance of heros, (I needed to answer following question " Are there some heroes who will be remembered forever") in a way that technology=distraction=forgetfulness of her
