Some people regard video games as harmless fun, or even as a useful educational tool. Others, however, believe that videos games are having an adverse effect on the people who play them. In your opinion, do the drawbacks of video games outweigh the benefits?
People have different views with regard to the impact of video games on society. While video games can benefit people, I believe that the disadvantages would surpass the advantages.
On the one hand, there are some reasons why video games could be beneficial. Firstly, people may enjoy themselves in those games, which helps ease their minds from work and reduce the level of stress. Secondly, video games encourage players to think logically and creatively as they attempt to crack the game. Finally, It is possible that video games can be used to serve educational purposes, especially games required reasoning skills. For example, parents could take advantage of video games to introduce new concepts to their children such as problem-solving.
On the other hand, video games have a negative impact on people which leads to many serious problems. As people spend more and more time playing video games, they become unproductive and procrastinating at their work. It is also clear to me that video games make people isolated from real life due to their addiction and desire to emerge in the virtual world. As a result, these people may lack social interactions and have higher risks to commit crimes and violent behaviors. In addition, the act of constantly facing the screen in a long period could deteriorate one’s eyesight and may lead to vision depletion.
In conclusion, although video games can be entertaining and educational, it seems to me that the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.
