Essay about international cooperation

The XXX was appointed in 2008 in the Universidad through the Humanities Department; this constitutes the head of the “subsystem of the humanities” and coordinates the research in the SSH in the University. The subsystem of the humanities is shaped by 10 Institutes, 6 Centers, 3 Programs and 2 Foreign Headquarters dedicated to the social sciences and the humanities, which together group more than 900 researchers.

The XXX has been working to strengthen the international cooperation between Mexican and European institutions and to increase the participation of Mexican academics in the European research. The XXX is a member of the NetXXX, which is the international network of National Contact Points for Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities in the 7th European Framework. The NetXXX goals are to promote trans-national cooperation by means of a structured and user-friendly network, actively support networking in the SSH research community and offer help in every respect of FP7.

The XXX México has been working to stimulate the international cooperation and to enlarge the Mexican participation in the scientific and innovation research. Among other activities, last September the XXX organized a workshop for Mexican researchers interested in participating in the Work Programme 2012. Furthermore, the XXX has made efforts to establish cooperation with other regions, as a result now is opened the call for Collaborative Research Grants of The National XXX and the Universidad XXX.

The XXX had developed a large information base of researchers at local and national level and aims to continue fostering international cooperation in the SSH community.
