Please help me edit this and make it better! Thanks ^^

One bright clear day, I was at the Toronto Zoo strolling into the Stingray Exhibition. I gave the person my ticket then cleansed my hands and removed my gold bracelet. I then anxiously entered and glanced around. Suddenly my nose tickled and it scented a very icky, fishy smell. I walked slowly over to the pool. I rolled up my sleeves and lowered my right arm into the water slowly. I looked to the left, then to the right seeing if anything was approaching. Then a silver, slate gray, flat, grand stingray came swimming toward my hand, my heart was beating out of my chest, I held my breath, closed my eyes. Then I exhaled and opened my eyes as my hand had felt the slimey, strange, smooth creature. The feeling tingled my hands, and travelled up my spine. I was astonished, and amazed. I had a feeling of jumping for joy. I got so thrilled, I sunk my hand even deeper. Then another one came by, and another, and another, and another! They kept on coming, and my hand glided smoothly across their backs. I grinned. I ran all around the pool feeling the stingrays. I was all hyped up. There was nothing better than being there with them. And in that moment, I didn't want to go anywhere else. I wanted to stay there forever and ever.
