Another reason I think the universities should offer more distance learning for students is a vast access to databases. In our fast-paced computerized society, the student doesn’t have to search for hours through card catalogues and library stacks, but just only go online and find all the necessary material. Moreover, the students can ask experts online who can help him with some specific questions. Distance learning is advantageous in not only saving the student’s time but also giving a vast access to loads of materials and experts articles.
In addition to database access, the final reason I think distance learning should be offered for students is the financial relief. For example, if the college is in another city, a student doesn’t have to spend time on transportation, housing and cafeteria food. It greatly saves money when all your studies are at no distance thus helping a student to keep his full or part time job. Distance learning is quit very financial beneficiary for a working student.
There are many other reasons vouching for distance learning. Colleges and Universities should provide distance learning since it greatly accommodates the student’s need, saving their time, money and carrier
