Task: Peolple attend to college or university for many different reasons ( for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think that people attend to college or university????

I think that people attend to college o university for many different reasons. But basically they have the same goal, pursue a career that gives you the right tools to develop your knowledge in a work enviroment.

There is a lot of peolple that are going into the wrong direction because they chose something that does not fit their habilities and personal choices. I think that the desition to attend college or university have to be only a personal choice, no matter what other people expect from you. You are the only one that have to be happy with the decition that you make. We have to be serious and think about it with matureness cause pretty much of this choice depends our future.

In my family for example we have a lawyer's tradition, my great-grandfather was Dr. in Law as well as his son and daughter. Now my uncles and their wives' degrees are related on that. If you think about it maybe the right choice for my generation will be just follow the tradition because pretty much everything is set up. But the realty is that none of us want to be a lawyer or something like that. Our choices were dancers, computer's engeneer and in my personal case International Relations, actually maybe I am the only one that it is a little bit close.

Nowadays we have a bunch of options, a lot of choices around the world. But something that it is really important of the new generation of students is that we are involve with the same kind atmosphere, I am talking about politics and economics. I do not want to say that all the people have an opinion related on that because there is always going to be an exception in the rule, but in our days it is really dificult to find a student that does not have an opinion about it. Politics are stronger than yesterday so everybody wants to be part, or a least participate on them. That it is why I think that the people that attend to college and universities are increasing, because the political and economical situation around the world is changing. So it gives us diferent options to become part of it
