ESPECIALLY WHEN and ESPECIALLY SINCE

Could you help me with these 3 sentences?

I read a lot especially when I don't have my CD player with me.
She hasn't spoken to anyone, especially since her fathers death.
I'm not going to go on vacation with her, especially since I hate her.

Can you give me and example with each?

Can you tell me what you think of this sentence and which you would say?

- I don't understand the thought/rationale behind the pricing of the different dishes. Is it "why sell a hamburger for less when you can sell it for the same price as a bacon burger. People who don't eat bacon will have to buy the hamburger. They'll have no choice but to pay the same price"

- Can you take us through your thought process?

Thank you

I read a lot , especially when I don't have my CD player with me. -- I prefer a comma. * I'm not going to go on vacation with her, especially since I hate her.

  • I read a lot , especially when I don't have my CD player with me.
  • -- I prefer a comma.
  • * I'm not going to go on vacation with her, especially since I hate her.
  • -- Correct English, but seems a bit strange.
  • After "especially" one expects a moderately strong reinforcing reason; this seems too overwhelmingly strong.
