I would like to know if these sentences are correct? Please help.

"The project was to provide assistance for students entitled for a two year free internet service sponsored by the Government. It could not be processed online so we invited them to come visit our office for verification purposes and fill the application form online. The enormous number of students who came to our office to get the privilege was overwhelming. We assisted about 3,000 individuals and we worked for 14 hours a day for 15 days straight to meet the deadline which we completed successfully ahead of time."

Thanks!

I would polish this up a bit. Also, it is not completely clear. This is how I would say it: The project was to provide assistance to students who were entitled to receive two years of free internet service, which was sponsored by the government.
