Hi Avangi,

I understand Fighting could be escalated or getting worse. But how that problem was getting worse. I mean "if you can not download the document then you can not download," there is no way to be getting worse. So I just figured out they wanted to say "more and more people had reported the same problem." Is this right?

As I understand it, it means that the problem has been raised to a higher level of visibility in the company and more people and resources are researching it to try to find a resolution.

It means that the issue was taken to someone/somewhere else's care, because the problem can't be resolved by the actual department. It's something specific and/or out of the range of knowledge of the people who usually treat the common issues, so it needs to be viewed/revised by someone else, usually in a higher position in the company, or a different department.

I can see that I'm out of touch with current corporate double talk.
I just can't imagine people sitting around the boardroom saying, "I think we should escalate the problem."

In this case "escalated" means they have forwarded the issue to a 2nd/3rd level department that will investigate and fix it. Once they have a resolution they will return to the first department (the one who provided you a reply) so they will return to you.
