Hi there teachers,

Could you kindly check if there's any mistake in the following conversation? Also, I'd really appreciate your efforts if you tried to replace the words or the sentences(in the following conversation) with the better ones.

Here's the conversation:

A to B:  Hi and thanks for adding me in the list of your friends. (or should A have written 'Thanks for accepting my friend's request?)

B says:  Hello and it's okay. You don't need to say 'thanks' to me. I, too, am glad to be your friend.

Next day (A says to B):  Hi

B replies after one hour: Hi...

A says:  Where were you? (would it have been better if A had written 'Where have you been' here ?)

Now B replies: I was busy in some work.

A asks:  What kind of work were you busy in? What do you do, by the way?

B: I was chatting with my boy friend. I'm a Student.

A: Oh! Chatting with one's boyfriend or girlfriend is such a fun, isn't it? If you don't mind, could I ask who your boyfriend is? (or it should have been 'If you don't mind, could I ask who is your boyfriend?)  I don't have any girlfriend yet. I wish I had one, but I don't.

B: Is it really important for you to know that?

A: It's not that important, but since we are friends now, we should share everything of us with each other. That's just my opinion though.

Thank you teachers, all the corrections are heartily welcome. Emotion: smile

Firstly, thank you very much for your reply dear sir, but I have one more question. If you have time, could you please take a look at the following?
enoon If you don't mind, could I ask who your boyfriend is? (or it should have been 'If you don't mind, could I ask who is your boyfriend?) No.
Sir, could you please help me by telling me a little about this pattern

"Is" is not a helping verb there. It is the main verb. The pattern is the difference between direct speech and reported speech.

There is a good treatment here. Basically, you do not need to invert in reported speech because you are saying what the question was instead of asking it.

Laborious ... replace the words or the sentences ... with the better ones.
(I'm assuming you are referring to the online form of making friends and that these dialogs are online dialogs.)

A: Thanks for friending me.
B: Don't mention it.

Next day

A: Hi.

An hour passes.

B: Hi.
A: Where were yo
