yeah i think the theory is from that book! i'm not sure. but i read a lil from that book too it's interesting ,
i'm asking because i have an exam in it, yes it's for school ^^

I'm studying the theory this semester !! but I can't understand it !! the first part .... it's too complicated I can't understand the " active " and the " passive " ... and the " giving" thing !! can u help me to understand it ?? if u please ?? I have a test tomorrow !!! I'm searching for anyone has read the theory !!!!!

the active he mean that the person is doing something and the passive is someone who is not doing anything ( for example doing business , studies medicine "for people" they think who do this is active but for Erich from this is passive not active ,what is active for erich fromm for EX is a man who sitting quiet and contemplating with no purpose or aim except that of experiencing himself and his o
