Enunciate “out” or on its own?

I had mistyped a word incompletely, like so:“...gradma”And a person could not figure out what I meant. Would the reply, “enunciate OUT the missing letter” be more correct, or “enunciate the missing letter”?
I personally lean more towards the former, with the added preposition “out”, given the objective of the matter. Your insight and suggestions would be very much appreciated, grammar overlords! Thank you so much.
