Enter a door quickly

I'm running for my life down a hallway. Suddenly I hear someone in the hall, so I enter the nearest door.

Which word can I use instead of "enter" to say that I ran to and entered the door in a hurry to not be seen?

You might duck into the nearest room. Or you could spell it all out plainly.
