Enough/each/many

Hello,

Most of the determiners are also pronouns and a few are many, each, enough, all, both and a lot e.t.c.

I would like to know whether these are pronoun if in their 'of construction' e.g.

Many of us were present in the party.

I wonder whether 'many' in the above sentence used as a pronoun.

Could anyone explain it?

Thanks.

Yes.

#2 and #4 are not correct.

#2 could be rendered as 'One of the (two) boys was happy'. Drop 'both' in #4.
