What is the difference between “enough” and “often enough”?
I don’t play the game enough/often enough to hit the jackpot.
many thanks
anonymous I don’t play the game enough/often enough to hit the jackpot. In this example there isn't much difference in meaning, because it is clear anyway that "enough" must, broadly speaking, mean "often enough". It may be that "often" makes us think more of playing on separate occasions, but it is not clear cut.
