Enough of/with

Enough of this stuff! It's nonsense! I'm out of here.
Enough with this stuff
! It's nonsense! I'm out of here.

I think the "usual" or "expected" form is "enough of", because I think it's short for "I've had enough of..."
But the version with "with" doesn't sound too bad to me, because I am probably connecting it with similar expressions, like "Down with the Queen!" or "To hell with this stuff! I'll do it tomorrow."

Any advice? Thanks. Emotion: smile

Kooyeen; I have not run across "enough with" before. I suppose in an emotional fit it might come out, but then I cannot vouch for anything I might say in an emotional fit.

To the extent that a great amount of speakers of a certain standard level of English uses a expression

If you take a look on the net, it definitely seems to be used by native speakers, but the problem with the net, Google searches, and all that stuff is that you can't know how "common" something actually is. Yes, it's used, it "seems" ok, but I still suspect "enough of" might be more common, generally spe

Hi,
I exclaim 'Enough with this' (particularly when dealing with certain threads on this Forum ), and rarely 'Enough of this'.
