...enjoy their life/lives...

During this time period of continuance, living beings can enjoy their life/lives on a planet like the Earth.

Is it life or lives? Thanks.

I would use "lives" on the simple basis that you are talking about more than one life. "During this time period of continuance" is not right. I don't really understand what you mean by it.

Thanks, GPY. The sentence is from a Buddhist magazine. It is written by a non-native.
