Ken sits watching a baseball game on TV. Ted comes out of his room carrying a duffel bag.

Ken: Where are you going?

Ted: To the gym. (then) Hey, is that the Red Sox?

A few moments later.

Ted sits engrossed watching the baseball game with Ken.


How would you write the last sentence and is 'engrossed' an appropriate word to use?
