English - vulgarism?

Hi, I am translating a text and I am not quite sure what a "shower-***-dressing room comment:" is. Any ideas? Thanks.

I guess the word that the censor bot starred out is c.u.m (remove the dots). The censor bot is a filthy-minded idiot whose efforts to protect us from ourselves often backfire and call to mind obscure *** where we would not have thought of it ourselves.

The word is a legitimate, somewhat scholarly one that is only misread by semi-literate people under the age of about thirty who spend too

Helena Pechackova well, yes, I know, thanks ... but what does the phrase itself mean? I know the individual words but cannot make out the meaning of the whole expression
Ok, but then why did you title this post "vulgarism?" I am left thinking I don't know what you are asking.
