English texts

Hi There!

My name is Tolik and I'm a first years teacher trainee at the Fontys University in Sittard.

One of my teachers gave us an assignment. We had to make a 'Word Media Diary' and a 'Word Media Corpus'. The first one had to consist of 120 brief texts; for instance, a newspaper arcticle of a review. And the Corpus had to consist of rather long texts, 5000 words maximum. We have to find difficut words in these texts, search for their meaning and origin and write that information down in our report.

Well, I've been working on this project for a while now, and my problem is that I can't find enough different websites which contain such texts!

I was hoping that someone at this forum could help me out!

Please let me know if you know any website which has short, or long texts.

Regards,

Tolik
