English test answer scheme.

Hello everyone, I am an English teacher. Recently, we conducted English test. I wasn't the one who came out with the questions and answer scheme. But, when I checked my students' exam papers and I found that something is wrong with the answer scheme. The question is like this:

READ THE TEXT BELOW. THERE ARE MISTAKES IN THE USE OF PAST, PRESENT AND GERUNDS.

"Sydney-based Kristy Curtis had some battle of her own when it come to weight. At 15, she suffer from anorexia and saw the disease rob her of her health"

The answer scheme is like this:

"Sydney-based Kristy Curtis had some battle of her own when it comes to weight. At 15, she suffered from anorexia and saw the disease rob her of her health"

I would say the correct answer is like this:

"Sydney-based Kristy Curtis had some battle of her own when it come to weight. At 15, she suffer from anorexia and saw the disease robbed her of her health"

But still, I need help. I need clarification from teachers around the globe. Thank You

I see. Well, in contrast, I'm telling you that the answer is supposed to be like this:

when it came

so that the tense (past) will match the tense of had, which came earlier in the sentence.
