English tense

What tense should I use ?
1. I heard my daughter threw a bottle outside the window of the car.
2. I heard my daughter throw a bottle outside the window of the car.
Thanks.

The first one means that somebody told you that your daughter threw a bottle . The second one means that you heard the act of throwing. It is more natural to say 'out' than 'outside'.

Sorry, Anon. I accidentally deleted your question:

Shouldn't it be out of the window?

I think it's possible to omit 'of', but I normally use it. The omission in my post was a slip.
