English - speech

Topic- The qualities I would like to imbibe from a person? Why?

Top answer

The verb ‘imbibe’ is often used with regard to drinking alcohol; but it does have the meaning of absorbing someone else’s ideas, religion, history, preferences and qualities. Often this is done by spending a lot of time with that person. If the person is dead and has written books, one can read their books to better learn to be like them.
