English Paper Question

I was wondering if some one can read my first two paragraphs (its a narative essay just fyi) and tell me if they see any gramatical errors. The main thing I am looking to have fixed are fragments, comma splices, run-ons, and dangling or misplaced modifiers. I understand this is a lot to ask for so any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks

Caribbean Cruise

I have had several great vacations in my life. Skiing in Park City, Utah, the theme parks in Orlando to mention a couple. This past summer I had the best vacation ever! It was an eight day cruise in the eastern Caribbean with one of my best friends, which was stupendous. We were destined for six ports of call and two days at sea. Since this was my first cruise experience I really had no idea what to expect. Of the six ports of call, three of them stood out San Juan, Puerto Rico, Antigua and Nassau, Bahamas. The boat, Carnival Liberty, left Port Everglades on Saturday May 26 at 4:00PM. We finally arrived at our first destination, San Juan, Puerto Rico, at five pm, Monday, just as the sun was starting to set.

The view of San Juan from the boat, while the sun was setting, was just what you would expect to see in a romantic movie. You could feel the energy level on the boat building as we got closer to leaving the boat and hitting the streets of San Juan. As soon as we left the boat I could tell San Juan was an underprivileged city. Many of the buildings were old and run down and there were a lot of street vendors (aka hustlers) trying to sell you everything from paintings to jewelry. My friends and I had heard about Senior Frogs, a famous bar in the city, so we asked a native for directions. The cool thing was I was only twenty at the time so I couldn't legally drink in the US, but this was Puerto Rico where there is no legal drinking age. When we got there the place was pretty empty so we moseyed up to the bar and each of us got two shots of some low grade tequila. The first shot burned my throat, but I took the other one with out a second thought. Shortly after we arrived more tourists started pouring in and the party went into high gear. We drank and danced until we had to get back to the boat; it wasn’t that late only 11pm. The walk back to the boat was quiet; the town seemed to be deserted. Being typical American tourists we stopped at the duty free liquor shop and bought some very cheap vodka. Since we weren’t supposed to bring the vodka onto the boat we poured the vodka into empty water bottles to sneak it back on the boat. It was a fun night of drinking and dancing and I fell into bed exhausted and over the legal limit.
