Hi, As a non-South African, I've never heard of any kind of subject/verb difference. We don't seem to have many South Africans on the Forum, as far as I know. Clive.

Hi,

As a non-South African, I've never heard of any kind of subject/verb difference.

We don't seem to have many South Africans on the Forum, as far as I know.

Which language are you talking about? The Dutch-derived language (Afrikaans) or the English?
If you are speaking of the English language, I would guess that it is closer to British than American.
