English in Harry Potter

Hi,

I've been reading the Harry Potter series. I heard some time ago that JK Rowling was criticized for writing mediocre English, and I was wondering what these people's basis might be.

I think it's rather safe to assume that many people on this forum have read the series, so what are some features of the English in Harry Potter, just off the top of your heads, may separate it from "good" English?

Thanks in advance Emotion: smile
