TOPIC: In many developing countries, there is a problem with the declining quality of air and water from both industry and construction. what measures could be taken to prevent this?

People believe that nations can not make breakthroughs without harming the environment. Air and water contamination caused by industry and construction is at an alarming rate these days. However, this phenomenon could be tackled by implementing several approaches.

It is possibly said that this issue may be triggered by some main factors. One of the prominent reasons concerning this problem is industrial activities. This is because developing countries have the propensity for concentrating on heavy industry to reinforce the national economy while not having enough finance to apply eco-friendly equipment and technologies in the production process, which inevitably results in negative impacts on the environment such as CO2 emission or poisonous sewage. The “Formosa Ha Tinh Steel” company, whose chimneys discharged extremely polluted smoke without decontamination, is a typical case.

In truth, some multi-faceted measures ought to be taken to address this problem. Promulgating laws and levying high taxes on producing processes is highly recommended. In particular, companies or businesses that discharge waste chemicals into oceans should be punished by the government. In addition, it is significant to appeal to developed countries for financial assistance. Henceforth, businesses could apply modern technologies to minimize the negative impacts on the environment. Another feasible solution is changing the consuming behaviors of consumers. To clarify, people should be in favor of products which were produced in an eco-friendly way. Whereby, industrial giants may be responsible for decontaminating waste and emissions if they still want to satisfy the public.

In conclusion, there are indeed various repercussions regarding air and water pollution, yet, they can be solved once those measures are enlisted imperatively.
