English humors

Thanks to Mark Chandler, I've switched my etymology dictionary to the one he introduced. When I was studying Latin and Greek, accidentally I found this:

http://www.etymonline.com/h4etym.htm

On the bottom of the page, you will find varieties of English humors and ironies and their concept. I always have a problem with English humors and ironies. I just don't get the punch line or understand what the jokes are funny or sarcastic about.

If you have any comments on humor, wit, satire, sarcasm, invective, irony, cynicism, and sardonic, let me hear them.
