Please can someone help me with the grammatical functions of these following words:

Prickle, Soviet, Delicate and Sewed

1. She thought a Prickle of fear as she realized that she was alone.

2. The foolish war against the Soviet Union continued

3.This glass are Delicate

4. The matter is Delicate

5. Egg plant is often sewed

Ussy Mo1. She ~~thought~~ felt a prickle of fear as she realized that she was alone.

Prickle is a noun. It is the direct object of the verb. "Think" is not used with "prickle", but "feel" is.

Ussy Mo2. The foolish war against the Soviet Union continued

Soviet Union is a proper noun. Soviet is a proper adjective.

Ussy Mo3. This glass are delicate

That is not grammatical. These are correct:

This glass is delicate.
These glasses are delicate.

Delicate is an adjective.

After a linking verb, an adjective is called a predicate adjective or subject complement. (Those are two names for the same thing.)

Ussy Mo4. The matter is delicate.

Ussy Mo5. Egg plant is often sewed

That does not make sense. Sewing is using needle and thread to join pieces of cloth together. And the verb is irregular, the past participle is "sewn", not "sewed."

She sewed two buttons on her coat.
Two buttons had to be sewn on the coat.

And eggplant, the vegetable, is one word.
