Are all these options valid?
1) Not a day passed this year without rain
2) Not a day this year has gone by without rain
3) Not one day this year has gone by without rain.

Top answer

In my opinion, 2 and 3 are fine. #1 should be Not a (single) day this year has passed without rain. I think that the present perfect is needed because of the continuity of rainy days this year (which hasn't ended yet).
