I was wondering if this sentence was proper grammar:

"It is also not that an interesting setting."

It is also not that interestng of a setting.

But it would be more clear to say "The setting is not very interesting."

Trying to use your words as much as possible, I'd say the correct form is

"It is also not that interesting a setting."
