English Essay

Hey,

I want to start my essay in which i need to analyse and interpret Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Tell-Tale Heart" (1842). My question is can I start my essay like this?:

Is the grammar corret?

The sentence is correct. It is, however, a rather "dry" introduction to an essay that has the possibility of being very interesting. Something more like There are many images in Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" that bring absolute horror to the mind of the reader.

Personally, I prefer the above in terms of word order.

Agreed with the above, though. Something with a bit more punch, and description, would be more fitting.

Yes, but don't forget that you can vary the order and include more descriptive material, burying the dull facts in subordinate clauses, as suggested by Philip, to make your essay more interesting.
